How One Simple Lead Magnet Brought Me 87 Leads, 23 Sales & $4,972
Today I'd like to share with you how one simple lead magnet brought me:
📈 87 leads
💸 23 sales
💼 $12,431 in revenue
💰 $4,972.50 in affiliate commissions
I shared this story on my MARKINBLOG site recently, but I wanted to bring it here too — because what I’m about to show you works insanely well for anyone selling online:
Digital products, mini-offers, templates, guides, workshops, you name it.
And the wild part?
It’s much simpler than most people think.
So, here's the situation:
A while back, when ClickFunnels 2.0 launched, everyone in the community was confused.
Every day I’d see posts like:
“Does anyone know how to move my funnels from CF Classic to 2.0?”
“Is there a migration tool?”
“Do I really have to rebuild everything manually?”
People were stuck, frustrated, and wasting hours.
And that’s when something clicked for me.
If so many people were running into the same roadblock… maybe there was an opportunity hidden in the chaos?
Right around that time, I stumbled onto a tool that handled the Classic → 2.0 migration automatically — fast, clean, and without all the manual rebuilding (this was before BarnumPT came out).
But here’s the catch:
ClickFunnels groups don’t allow links or promo.
So even though I found a tool that solved the problem instantly… I couldn’t publicly share anything about it (and I didn’t want to go against their community rules).
Which meant the only ethical way to share the lead magnet…
…was through 1-on-1 conversations.
So, here's what I did:
Instead of trying to force a link into the comments, I decided to create something genuinely useful first.
I built a simple lead magnet that explained:
✅ why migration was so confusing
✅ what manual options existed
✅ and how the right tool could fix everything in minutes
This is what I call "The Bridge Funnel Technique" — creating a tiny, helpful resource that naturally “bridges” the gap between the problem and the product.
Then, whenever someone posted about migration and seemed stuck, I sent them a personal DM:
“Hey, I saw your question about moving funnels from Classic to 2.0. I put together a short guide that explains it step by step. If you want it, I’m happy to send it over.”
If they replied “yes”… I sent them the guide.
And trust me — people said “yes” a lot.
🏆 The Result:
That small lead magnet — created in one afternoon — brought in:
📈 87 leads
💸 23 sales
💼 $12,431 in revenue
💰 $4,972.50 affiliate commission (40%)
All came totally organic:
❌ No audience.
❌ No ads.
❌ No spam.
Just helping people solve something they were already asking for.
🎯 Why I’m Sharing This Inside the Selling Online Community
Because this SAME approach works perfectly for selling ANY digital product:
Whether you're selling:
👉 a mini-course
👉 a template
👉 a guide
👉 a workshop
👉 or a small paid resource
…this strategy makes selling 10x easier.
Here’s the core idea:
You help people FIRST with a tiny, focused lead magnet, and your digital product naturally becomes the next logical step.
Most people try to push their product.
I let the problem pull the right people toward me.
That’s the whole difference.
Here’s how you can use this inside your own digital product business:
Instead of:
❌ pitching your product directly
❌ hoping people “check out the link”
❌ shouting into the void
Try this:
✔️ Pick one real problem your audience is currently stuck on
✔️ Create a small lead magnet that brings clarity
✔️ Offer it when people ask for help
✔️ Let your product be the natural “next step"
This works especially well if you’re:
✅ building your first audience
✅ launching a small digital product
✅ promoting a mini-offer
✅ selling templates or toolkits
✅ wanting sales without feeling salesy
It’s value → clarity → conversion.
Simple, clean, and extremely effective.
