Session 3 - standing pres at height and running jumps no stick
This session was a huge mental struggle. I was doing alright trying to get over the fear of being higher off the ground, technique really wasn’t there but I thought just doing it would help. I had a bit of a shock moving from 9 of my feet to 10, I still made the jump after it but couldn’t break out of it after. The drops were okay, I didn’t feel great doing them because I was still frustrated from the upwards pres.
The same happened with my running jumps. After I moved up from 12 to 13 of my feet I tested the distance which I could make but couldn’t commit to landing on top of the step.
Overall, I’m glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone today but it’s really struck my confidence thinking about what I want to achieve these next few months.
