Session 11
Finally had some time to train in the city on Monday which was pretty relaxed. Some challenges I was worried about doing before I found a lot easier to break through now and can see how far I’ve come. For the second video I want to be able to hurdle the bush and the path below to land on the grass but adding in more speed and power gives me the fear 😅 Also wanted to add in this little piece I enjoyed doing at the end
Session 11
Sessions 8, 9 + 10
8 - static climb ups and downs. Didn’t feel great, started getting pins and needles in palms and forearms when my elbows were at 90° 9 - pushed my running bounce offs to 10 of my feet and moved the tyre farther away. The drop jumps also increased to 11 of my feet which I’m happy with 10 - took the bounce off outside for this one, managed 8ft gaps but I kept getting in my head about it. Added in strides to cat and climb over, a large drop jump that messed with me a lot because of the height, distance and bar and finished with a line with some drops

@Jayden McAllister they’re feeling pretty good at the moment, I’m definitely a lot more comfortable with them now and taking them outside but I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to push it. I don’t feel comfortable taking more than 3 steps into my jumps 😅

@Joshua Abrego Thank you! Yeah it’s good to feel more confident with them but taking more than 3 steps into the jump doesn’t feel right. I’m not too sure what to change with it there
Week 5: New and Improved Dive Kongs 🦍🤙🏽
The new tips I learned from @Alexander Robinson made a huge difference — I can kong over obstacles smoothly and confidently. -- Reminder of the new tips: 1. Instead of pushing your hands at the beginning of the table for a kong, reach out to the far end of the table (essentially called a "dive kong" or "reach kong". Doing this helps you scale over long distances much easier than the basic kong. Basic kongs are best for pre's and kong hurdles. Dive kongs are best to cover long distances. -- It's scary trying this dive kongs because it's new to me. It's like taking a leap of faith with my body straight like a pencil flying over a table. To help break this down, I needed to scale back my moves and progressively build myself back up. You can see in my videos where I needed to break it down into pieces and then put it back together again. HOWEVER, I notice I need less power and can glide over the tables easier. I want to build myself up to complete my hit list move "dive konging over the whole table", but, similar to what Alexander told me, I want to start with a smaller table and then try the full one I want to aim for. Video #1: Building myself up to simple dive kong Video #2: Dive Kong + Dive Kong Video #3: Dive Kong + Reverse Vault Video #4: Building up to full table dive kong

This looks incredible! Your kongs are so smooth especially when you’re going over both tables! It’s so amazing seeing your improvements! How’re you recovering after your ankle?
VIP Session - Week 4/5 (not sure)
So didn’t get a proper drilling session in this week but instead worked on trying to include more movement variations and applying them in lines. So here’s a few examples + two versions of fulls I did where I think I got a key point to help get me closer to dubs: I realised I was too slow in the set for the full and if I thought going as fast as I could as soon as my left left touched the floor it really helped

It’s so awesome seeing you adding these into lines! Do you feel like they suit well at the end or would you like to add them into the middle of a line eventually? Your last clip was so smooth! It really looks like you've come a long way with them already!
Dundee Takeover 2026
On Saturday I went to Dundee for my first comp since 2024! This is a part of Scottish Parkour Takeover League two colleagues and myself started in 2024 in Aberdeen. This has expanded across 5 cities with the help of 9 other athletes across Scotland managing the Takeover in the city they live in. I had a few reasons for going: 1. Train with people as I normally train solo. 2. See what impact taking part in the athlete programme has had on me mentally and physically. 3. To encourage my students to engage with the wider Scottish community and train in other places. So many of these challenges I would’ve walked away from just a month ago. I was honestly so pleased with some of these and didn’t imagine making some of these so quickly!

@Jayden McAllister They’re so much fun! I love when other people set challenges so I don’t have to 😂 I’m getting there!
