Dear Samuel Earp, I was wondering if you might be willing to share your thoughts on working in different mediums. Do you approach painting in oils any differently than you would in gouache, either in terms of technique, planning, or mindset? I’d really appreciate hearing your perspective. If I would switch to oils from acryllic, do I need Liquin original to help the oil paint dry faster? Anything else I need? After over a year with acryllic I’m seriously considering making the jump. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Sam as I’m going to try to sketch what type of pencils should I get? I recd an ipad but can’t use it in tx because we can’t get WiFi. I’ll be back in Colorado around the end of January if the snow will not be bad going up the mountain’, I have WiFi there. Thanks for your help’

For all you acryllic painters out there, does anyone use Matt Mediums? If so how do you use it? It seems as if Sam does not use any mediums at all or at least he doesn’t mention it in his videos. Wondering if mediums are actually a requirement, or a nice to have, or perhaps just a waste of money?
