Beach Day
So I took a beach trip with my family the other day and I just want to encourage you guys to do the same. Sometimes it's okay to step away from the sports, step away from jobs, step away from work, whatever it may be, and to just enjoy a day to relax, have a self-care day I guess. My diet wasn't thrashed. I still burned calories being in the ocean. I still was active. I still moved. I came home, I stretched, I relaxed, I rested but I kind of took a day away from everything and enjoyed it with my family. Enjoyed it at the beach and just had some good food, good dinner, and just really had a great time. There's nothing wrong with taking a day off. Just make sure you take that day off. You don't completely lose track of everything you've worked super hard for and that you also don't let that day off set the new standard for how your day should look.

Do your reps
I just finished working out with my coach and let me tell you all something. Your workouts are going to be hard. You’re going to be tired. You’re going to push yourself. It’s going to be intense. That doesn’t mean you cheat your reps and sets. Because you cheating reps only affects you. Nobody else, it directly affects you and your progress. There was several people today that I saw working out that skipped their reps and sets massively. Nobody said anything to them. But their results will show. Take your time, complete your workout. Every rep and every set. It’s going to be intense, it’s going to be tiring, it will test you. That’s the point, that’s how you get stronger. Don’t talk about it, be about it

Gym wake up
There’s nothing I dislike more than walking up at 5-5:10 a.m to go workout. It never gets easier, I always go to bed late because of work or school. It’s always a fight. But everytime I finish the workout, it was worth it. It’ll be 7am and I already completed a relatively intense workout. Already completed more than 76% of the world. So it’s worth it, I feel good, I feel ready to attack my day. All because I got past myself for 15 minutes in the morning and went to the gym. So it never gets easier, matter of fact sometimes it gets harder to wake up, but if you can win that fight consistently. You’ll see progress. What’s something you’re struggling with, that you wish was easier?

Facility Mantra
Attached is a photo of my training facilities monthly mantra. They do this each month with a short phrase to push you to become better This months talks about how you can only depend on yourself. This applies to all of you in every way shape and form. Nobody is going to do it how you can. Nobody is going to be able to handle it the way you need to. You have to get up and do it yourself. You have to be prepared, be focused, be disciplined, and most of all be faithful. Not only in the process, but also in God. They end it off with saying “tribe up with others” this community, this platform, this place is that “tribe”. Regardless of our numbers right now, we are a community of athletes becoming better people and better athletes. We’re all the same. Don’t talk about it, be about it Owen

Game
Won 3-1, overall the team played good, but in the second half level dropped a bit but we did what we needed to do. I played good but always room for improvement.
