I'm tired
I am never tired, but I felt tired last night and went to bed early. I don't feel much better today, so I am doing less. Rest and recovery are equal parts to fitness. Listening to our bodies is key.
It is my non-strength day when I usually teach pilates, row, walk, and do chores. Today, there will be less of all of that.
Tomorrow is normally my strength training day. I will see how I feel in the morning. If I feel better, I'll do a modified program. If I don't, I'll skip it. I train 156 days a year, so I can miss one day to recover.
I'm sharing this with you to give you permission to rest and recover when you need it.
Equally, I do advise that you train when you can. Mobility, strength training, balance, and flexibility will keep you strong for life.
It is all a balance.
