What's Your Investment Strategy?
My grandfather died a millionaire. He worked in the South Tower of the World Trade Center on floors 90 and 94-97, just 5 floors above where the plane hit on 9/11.
I am no finance expert, but I gather that my grandfather was a serious holder of stocks, holding onto them until the very end, as he believed he would be survived by my grandmother.
I have been using eToro for several years, and my current investment strategy hasn't changed (Aside from the amount) in the last 2 years.
I currently allocate $350 per month onto eToro, and split the $350 into stock choices once a month of $50 each.
For example, in November 2023 when returning from Las Vegas, I put $50 into Caesars Entertainment, $50 into Wynn Resorts, $50 into another Las Vegas resort, and so on. I focused on Las Vegas this particular month. And then I focused on dividend stocks the next month.
I don't tend to sell my stocks. I'm very much a holder.
Aside from that, I skim my main checking account when it exceeds the 5,000 mark, normally putting the excess into the stock market. I have other allocations into savings, and I have checking accounts in Canada, Peru and England. But generally, I keep checking accounts moderate and place everything else into savings/investments.
