Hey all, one thing I've noticed is that esses sound different (and worse/lispier) when the volume is low. Anyone else have this same perception, and why is that? What are your go-to de-essers? I've tried BSA's DSR, XVox Pro's De-esser (in the vocal chain), Izotope RX-11 De-ess, and iZotope Nectar 4 DeEsser with really no luck.

Does anyone know when the next Fix-The-Mix is gonna be? Unfortunately I had to go away for a year but now I'm back and eager to keep learning. Also, have any engineers had a good experience with the Slate Digital ML-1A Mic Setup & Software??
