Yeah love to partake, but at 5 tracks in 28 days I would be in. With kids/family, sports, work etc I can't see myself doing 14 tracks in a month :-)

If you are working in Ableton Live the Saturator stock plugin is really good with a lot of options/control. Watch Seed to Stage youtuber for an in-depth video on this topic. cheers! Chris
Is this normal? Kick volume vs Bass in Span
Hey im working on a track, and it has sounded great from the get-go (demo). But when looking at Span, the deep techno kick is way louder than all the rest of the song. When I balance the bass bus at the same peak volume of where the kick peaks, it does not sound good. Is it normal for tracks with a lot of low bass and deep kick to look this way? I can share my Ableton project or WAV. if anyone likes to take a look and listen.

Kick vs Sub Bass volumes/ratio (Foundation)
Hello, Is there a common ratio/volume balance for Kick + Sub bass in EDM/EBM/Rock genre? So let's say, if my kick is hitting at -6dbs, should the sub bass (not the main bass layer) be hitting at that same level, louder, or lower? So far I have been putting up the sub bass volume by ear, but find it hard to know when it is right. Everything sounds good to me :-)

@Tom Baldwin hey thanks! Great stuff. I was actually asking about my sub bass track, not sub in the kick. Typically i have 3 layers: - sub bass (mono, just the sub of the mid bass part) - Main / mid bass (front center punch) - Top layer (wide, crunch, air)
Need help with the Foundation First method
Currently I am working on the Final Mix assignment on MP101. I am trying the "Foundation"- method. I watched the instruction video several times and I get my Snare to -5 Db TP en the VU-meter around 0. Then I set the Kick to peak -5 Db TP. As soon as I combine them, my peak occasionally jumps to -2.2 Db TP when there's a fill on the snare (end of the chorus). I cannot seem to get them together at -5 TP. Or should I just focus an that fill? Can this be because of a build-up of frequencies? I tried EQ-ing things, that does not seem to get the job done. Any recommendations/tips? Or should I just wait the the Foundation-method and finish MP101 first? Thanks in advance!

@Phillip Winters yeah some more indepth info would be great because even with kick and snare samples which are the same sound each time I have a hard time getting the results in metering
