A Mastering Question
Hey all, I am stumped and figured this would be a good place to ask. Working on a mix I finished the other day and trying my hand at mastering. My problem is that while aiming for -14 LUFS, any time I adjust the threshold on my limiter to tame the peaks I quickly go from my target LUFS to -12. Also, is it a best practice to bounce the mix before mastering? I had good results a few days ago just mastering from the master track in my DAW on a different track...perhaps just lucky? Thanks in advance for any help. 😊
