I can’t tell you how much I needed this. It’s so informative and gets to the why of everything. I’m a career Autobody collision tech and honestly have never really tried or wanted to paint really until about last year. It’s hard to get someone to want to show you how it’s done especially when we are all flat rate and our time is really limited so I get guys not wanting to share their knowledge when we’re always in a time crunch. I just finished your module about lighting and air flow and realized how lacking I was in my garage painting for the first time. I was so focused on the how to instead of all the other factors that can go into a good paint job. Yeah we have booths at work but not an option for me to be able to use so I did my best with what I had. I just wish I found this community and your you tube page sooner. I have photos from my first paint job I did as you can see the lighting and air flow were not something I really payed attention to. Thanks again for this content it has helped tremendously in the small portion of courses I’ve completed. I had a Honda fit that was sun faded and thought it would be a great little project to try and learn on. It was good enough for me considering I painted it in my garage but do wish I took more steps to get a cleaner job. As you can see I had only one over head light from the garage door and one strip light. I didn’t get full coverage on some areas that I missed definitely see the need for better lighting.
