🚀New Video: PPS Systems Ranked
This one's a little bit different, but I had fun making it. I realized at the end I forgot to mention the odd 3M PPS 2.0 hard sided cups that exist, but oh well! I walk through every system that I've used, and the pros and cons of each. If anything, it's a good intro into what's out there. I hope you guys find it interesting!

Great video I watched earlier. I have use the spectrum from harbor freight. I noticed the same thing with the lids trying to snap them in sometimes was a pain it folded in on itself. Wasn’t a deal breaker but was very annoying for sure. Will look to be using something else eventually.
Spray Guns.
Excuse the dirty cabinet. I haven’t had time to repaint it since I moved. Guns come and go and this is what I’ve somehow gathered over the years. For solvent base I haven’t anything better than devilbiss dv1’s, prolites, and teknas. For clear I prefer the iwatas lph400 and ws400. Maybe a sata 5500 if I’m feeling spicy. What’s missing is my sealer gun which I prefer a iwata w400. For waterborne base I prefer Sata’s 4000b

Nice collection of guns.I would like to build up a collection like that. I’ve been eyeing some new spray guns and not sure which way to go however since I’m out of my garage for now I most likely will keep using my black widow from harbor freight for now. It’s been working out.

@Kyle Phakkhonkham nice! I look forward to trying some of those eventually. I’m the kind of person that wants to try everything to see what I like I have a tool addiction lol. I think most of us have that to a degree. Spray guns are something I never used to pay attention too now it’s something I’m very interested in. At same time I know I can’t just go out and break the bank even though I’m tempted too. Lol!

I started in the paint fix and touchups early on when I started auto detailing back in 2020 I took a step back to learn a bit more on prep and painting now I’m coming back this year with my mobile autobody business

My first paint job!!
I can’t tell you how much I needed this. It’s so informative and gets to the why of everything. I’m a career Autobody collision tech and honestly have never really tried or wanted to paint really until about last year. It’s hard to get someone to want to show you how it’s done especially when we are all flat rate and our time is really limited so I get guys not wanting to share their knowledge when we’re always in a time crunch. I just finished your module about lighting and air flow and realized how lacking I was in my garage painting for the first time. I was so focused on the how to instead of all the other factors that can go into a good paint job. Yeah we have booths at work but not an option for me to be able to use so I did my best with what I had. I just wish I found this community and your you tube page sooner. I have photos from my first paint job I did as you can see the lighting and air flow were not something I really payed attention to. Thanks again for this content it has helped tremendously in the small portion of courses I’ve completed. I had a Honda fit that was sun faded and thought it would be a great little project to try and learn on. It was good enough for me considering I painted it in my garage but do wish I took more steps to get a cleaner job. As you can see I had only one over head light from the garage door and one strip light. I didn’t get full coverage on some areas that I missed definitely see the need for better lighting. This was done about 4 months ago.

Thanks a ton! I actually found you because of your epoxy peels off of self etch video. I learned that the hard way! I was doing a white Hyundai Elantra. My heart sank when I sprayed the first coat of sealer. At the time I didn’t understand why it peeled back the way it did. It looked like if I put stripper on the roof and peeled all the way to the bare metal. I didn’t take any photos at the time. I was upset lol. I bought some cheap rustoleum etch primer from harbor freight. I had stripped the whole car. You know Hyundai and Kia tend to peel from factory which is why I was repainting the car. We bought it cheap and wanted to flip the car. I only took one photo. For some reason I thought I was taking a lot but I only had one. I just finished it a couple of weeks ago. As of now I’ve painted three cars the fit the Hyundai and I painted roof hood and deck lid of a Toyota Corolla. I seen with each one the air flow problems I’ve had Ive attached the Hyundai photo you can see the overspray just stagnant and not really moving. I look forward to making some adjustments and sharing. I have a Hyundai accent front end rebuild I’ll be sure to document and share my experience.
