🇺🇸 English Expressions: Blow It Off
Hey everyone! 👋 Today’s expression is “blow it off.” 👉 It means to ignore something, not take it seriously, or decide not to do something. You use it when you choose not to worry about or attend something. Origin: This comes from the idea of blowing dust or something light away. If you “blow something off,” you treat it as unimportant and let it go. Over time, it became a common casual expression in American English. Examples: • I was upset at first, but I decided to blow it off. 😌 • He didn’t come to the meeting — he just blew it off. 🙄 • Don’t blow off her advice; it might help. 💡 Figurative daily-life examples: • I had a bad comment online, but I blew it off. 💻 • He blew off the party and stayed home instead. 🏠 • Try to blow it off and enjoy your day. 🌤️ Now it’s your turn! 💬 Drop your own sentence using “blow it off” below 👇 WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER! 🤝

3.How does the snow change the feeling of the place? Well, to be honest, this is a bit of a blind spot for me, but I think snow changes the feeling of a place mainly through color and atmosphere. Normally, the difference in colors makes the world feel vivid and energetic, almost as if everything is playing and laughing. However, when each snowflake falls to the ground, it feels like a mysterious veil is slowly descending and covering the earth. Everything seems to fall asleep, the noise of the world disappears, and the whole place becomes still and quiet. So, for me, snow transforms the place into something peaceful, calm, and almost magical.
