✍️ Dictation Sunday № 3 🎧 January 18th !
Hey guys, here’s the idea! I decided to make another class. Instead of our regular chit-chat on Sundays, we’ll be doing Dictation Sunday! ✍️ 🎧 A NEW CLASS IS ON THE CALENDAR 👉 https://www.skool.com/lme/calendar?eid=20954353121c42b7a67d1b2178d308d7&eoid=1768726800 The idea is to train our short-term memory. I’ll pick one of our ‘old’ DDM VIP or PIRF VIP assignments and read some paragraphs sentence by sentence. You’re supposed to write down what you hear and post your answers in the chatroom. Then we compare your answers with the original script. After that, one of you could read another paragraph, and the rest of us, including me, will try to catch it 👀. Since we are all from different countries and have different accents, this will also help improve our listening comprehension 🌎. Plus, by reading the assignment, we can focus on our pronunciation and learn some vocabulary so we can discuss it afterwards 💬. LISTEN TO IT 🎧 • WRITE IT ✏️ • MASTER IT 🚀

🇺🇸 English Expressions: Laughing Stock 😂
Hey everyone! 👋 Today’s expression is “laughing stock.” 👉 It means a person or thing that everyone makes fun of or laughs at. Not in a fun way — usually because of a mistake, embarrassment, or failure. Origin: This phrase dates back to the 16th century. “Stock” once meant a fixed object used for punishment or public display, where people could mock someone. Over time, “laughing stock” came to mean someone publicly ridiculed. Examples: • He became the laughing stock of the office after that email mistake. • The team was the laughing stock of the league last season. • She didn’t want to turn into the laughing stock of the class. Figurative daily-life examples: • I tripped on stage and instantly felt like the laughing stock. • That fashion trend turned the brand into a laughing stock online. • One bad joke can make you the laughing stock of the group. Now it’s your turn! 💬 Drop your own sentence using “laughing stock” below 👇 WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER! 🤝

English Camp Assignment 1.4 No.7
How do you usually feel about New Year’s celebrations—excited or stressed? I usually feel excited. New Year’s celebrations often come with a year-end bonus, which is a big deal for me, even though it may not be a huge amount. It allows me to buy some bigger things that I couldn’t afford before. Also, the New Year represents a fresh start. It means the previous year is over, and a brand-new one is ahead of me, so I feel motivated to make clear plans and work on improving myself.
