Amazing how the budget survived before the 60% increase.
Property tax collections are up 60% in just a few years—yet homesteaded homeowners only account for about a third of that.
If we eliminated property taxes for people who actually live in their homes,the budget would just roll back a few years—to a time when schools, police, and services were doing just fine.
