Now’s the time for our communities to shine 🌟 (With or Without Tiers)
Skool’s new tiers feature has opened up a whole new chapter for how we all run our spaces.
While many will rush to lock things behind paywalls and turn free value into premium access, I think this is actually our moment to shine.
Because while others might charge crazy amounts for what used to be free… we can take the opposite approach.
We can double down on value, keep our free spaces genuinely helpful, and only charge when something truly deserves it.
This isn’t about racing to monetise. It’s about building trust, community, and consistency, the kind of connection that keeps people coming back long after the “new feature” excitement fades.
Retention matters more than ever.
It’s always easier to keep someone engaged than to win them back later.
If we create spaces people want to stay in, not just pay to access, we’ll win long-term.
Personally, I think tiers can be a great thing if used properly.
They can reward loyal members, add structure for deeper learning and give communities room to grow sustainably.
But only if they’re used for the right reasons.
So, I’d love to know:
👉 Are you using or planning to use tiers in your community?
👉 How are you approaching them?
👉 Have you seen other groups start charging for things that were once free and how does that make you feel as a user?
Let’s talk about it- because how we use this feature could define the next wave of Skool communities.
