Responding vs Reacting Check-in
Monday challenge check-in Did you pause before reacting? If Yes: What did you notice in your body during the pause? Did your response change at all? What did this teach you about your emotional patterns? If No: What interrupted your intention to pause? What reminder or environmental change would increase your success rate next time? How did you pause? Did you stop and count to ten, did you take two deep breaths, or both? If you were coaching someone else through this, what would you suggest?

Responding vs Reacting
Where in your life do you feel the fastest emotional reactions — irritation, defensiveness, shutdown, urgency? Challenge: This week, choose one situation where you typically react quickly. When it happens, pause for 10 seconds (x2 deep breaths) before responding. Accountability: How will you remind yourself to pause? (Phone note? Sticky note? Breath cue?)
