Day 2
1. Jordan Sue Reel
This reel caught my attention because it emotionally showed the transition from an older version of herself into a completely transformed version through bodybuilding. The hook matched the lyrics of the song which made the transformation feel deeper than just physical. It felt like she was killing off the old version of herself and stepping into a new identity.
What made the reel powerful was that the audience gets to see where she started before all the changes happened. That made the transformation feel relatable and inspiring because you can almost see yourself in her beginning phase and imagine your own evolution.
Elements I recognized:
• Visual Hook
• Emotional storytelling
• Transformation contrast
• Identity evolution
• Relatability
The reel made me feel inspired because it showed that transformation is possible when someone fully commits to becoming a new version of themselves.
2. Torrez Jerry Reel
This reel caught my attention because the hook focused on a “glute hack” which immediately creates curiosity. The word “hack” psychologically makes people feel like they are about to learn a faster or easier way to achieve their goals.
The reel created an “ah-ha” feeling because he used the leg extension as an alternative to hip thrusts which felt unexpected and interesting. He also demonstrated the movement visually on a client which made the concept easy to understand and easy to imagine trying for yourself.
Elements I recognized:
• Verbal Hook
• Educational curiosity
• Contrarian approach
• Quick value delivery
• Visual demonstration
The reel kept my attention because it made me feel like I was learning a smarter and more efficient way to train glutes.
3. Polk County Boxing Reel
This reel caught my attention because it immediately started with chaos and intensity. Two men were fighting and throwing hard punches which created suspense because I wanted to see what would happen next and whether someone would get knocked out.
The fast-paced action emotionally pulled me into the video before it transitioned into Coach Angel’s Ready Wraps. For a moment I even thought the fighters were wearing the wraps because the transition happened while my attention was already heightened from the fight.
Elements I recognized:
• Visual Hook
• Chaos and intensity
• Suspense
• Pattern interrupt
• Fast-paced movement
The reel made me feel adrenaline and curiosity because the fighting instantly created tension and emotional engagement.
4. Gabbygym_ Reel
This reel caught my attention because it started off feeling very normal and relatable. She was simply walking on the treadmill with the hook “how’s it going?” which made me curious about where the video was heading.
The transformation surprised me because the beginning felt average and casual, but then the transition revealed a much more muscular and developed physique. Unlike Jordan’s transformation which felt complete and explosive, Gabby’s transformation felt like she was still evolving through her current phase which created a different emotional response.
Elements I recognized:
• Visual Hook
• Curiosity hook
• Transformation storytelling
• Delayed reveal
• Relatability
The reel made me feel curious and surprised because I wanted to see what happened to her and how her transformation continued.
5. Angelinasfitt Reel
This reel caught my attention because it showed a different side of post-show bodybuilding than what is normally seen online. She showed herself eating a post-show meal while explaining that she did not immediately spiral into binge eating after competition.
The hook created emotional contrast because many bodybuilding videos focus on losing control after prep and gaining large amounts of weight back quickly. Instead, this reel communicated discipline, balance, and self-awareness which made the message feel reassuring and emotionally grounded.
Elements I recognized:
• Verbal Hook
• Emotional contrast
• Relatability
• Vulnerability
• Honest storytelling
The reel made me feel relief because it showed that bodybuilding and strict dieting do not automatically mean falling back into unhealthy habits or losing control around food.
