How Many Different Factors Are Involved in Weight Loss Resistance?
The answer will surprise you! I've written a number of posts and YouTube videos on this subject and this is the final one in the series. There are actually 60 factors that research demonstrates are involved - but don't worry - most of us don't have all of them LOL. The critical factor is to find out which ones are most prominent for you and then to find solutions that work. There are six categories broken down in this video: Hormones, Gut, Nervous System & Stress, Environmental, Lifestyle & Recovery and Inflammation. Watch the video and let me know which ones resonate the most for you! 🌷 Hormones 🌷 Gut 🌷 Nervous System & Stress 🌷 Environmental 🌷 Lifestyle & Recovery 🌷 Inflammation

Can Your Inner Critic Increase Weight Loss Resistance? 🙋‍♀️
or contribute to other chronic health issues? Absolutely, it can! We spend a lot of time talking about food, exercise, hormones, and metabolism — but what about the conversation happening inside our head every day? Your inner critic creates an emotional response, and that emotional response creates a physiological response that can affect cravings, cortisol, inflammation, emotional eating, and weight loss resistance. Check out the chart below to see how this works in your body. And sometimes those patterns began years ago. Trauma, severe challenges, and prolonged periods of stress can continue affecting how our body responds today — often without our realizing it until we become aware of the pattern. In my new video, I talk about one of my favorite tools for changing that response: HeartMath. In a small stress and weight management pilot, participants practiced HeartMath techniques for about 10 minutes twice a day and experienced significant weight loss along with reductions in waist and hip measurements — without calorie restriction being the focus of the program. They also experienced a profound change in their overall well-being feeling happier, more energetic with less brain fog. Imagine what can happen when we combine that kind of emotional and physiological regulation with nutrition, hormone balance, movement, sleep, EFT, mirror work, journaling, and the other holistic tools we use in our program. Have you noticed your inner critic affecting your eating, cravings, body image, or ability to reach your health goals? I’d love to hear your experience below. 🌸

Day 4 of our Iceland adventure and I can confidently say that renting a car was absolutely worth it. The freedom to explore wherever and whenever we want has made this trip even more special. The food has been incredible—everything tastes so fresh and flavorful. Last night we even got to try homemade ketchup, which was surprisingly delicious! You could purchase a cup of fresh tomato’s for the road. So far, the hot springs remain my favorite experience. There is just something magical about soaking in the warm water while surrounded by Iceland’s stunning landscape. Every day brings a new adventure, and we’re loving every minute of it. 🇮🇸❤️ Where have others traveled recently and what was your favorite part?

Could This Be the Missing Piece in Your Weight Loss (or Brain Fog) Journey?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 We talk a lot about hormones here — and you know how much they matter. But there's another piece of the puzzle that almost never gets mentioned — and when I started seeing it consistently in our genetic testing results, it stopped me in my tracks. It's called HISTAMINE INTOLERANCE — and it may be quietly sabotaging your weight loss and other goals, even when your hormones are improving. Does any of this sound like you? - Bloating that seems way out of proportion to what you ate - Brain fog that gets worse as the day goes on - Headaches that creep in an hour or two after eating - Hives or itchy skin for no obvious reason - Stubborn belly fat that just won't budge - Runny nose or congestion after a glass of wine - If you're nodding — keep reading. 👇 Here's the thing most women don't know. Histamine isn't just an allergy thing. Your body produces it naturally, but when there's too much of it — or your body can't break it down fast enough — it tells your body to store fat, drives inflammation, causes water retention, and blocks the signal that tells your brain you're full. And the foods that trigger it? You're probably eating them every day thinking they're fine — or even healthy. - 🥓 Bacon and sausage - 🍷 Red wine and prosecco - 🧀 Aged cheeses — parmesan and sharp cheddar especially - 🥗 Anything with vinegar — dressings, pickles, condiments - 🫙 Yogurt (I know it's healthy - but maybe not for you!) - The tricky part is that histamine is cumulative. One of these foods on its own might be fine. But yogurt at breakfast, vinegar dressing at lunch, wine and parmesan at dinner? By the end of the day your body can be in histamine overload — and you'd have no idea why you feel so awful. Why do some of us have this and others don't? GENETICS: Some women are simply predisposed to producing too much histamine, or their body can't break it down efficiently. It's written into your biology — which is exactly why we now include the 3x4 Genetic Test alongside hormone testing for all our clients.
