The Red Notebook
Well, Dr. Fielding wondered where I had been for the last almost two months—like I had dropped off the face of the Earth—and honestly, that’s exactly what it felt like. Over that time, my mom has been through multiple hospital stays and is now home receiving TPN through a PICC line, which I administer each night as her primary caregiver. It’s been exhausting, emotional, and nonstop, but also a reminder of how quickly life can shift and how deeply love shows up in hard seasons. I just can’t imagine what this would have been like if I hadn’t done the work with Dr. Fielding last year to get a grip on my own menopause journey. I met with my doctor this week for a checkup, and the only concern was some high blood pressure—which, of course, stress will do—but she was so proud of the progress I’ve made. My January bloodwork was incredible, with everything back in normal ranges, all without medication—just diet, supplements, and Dr. Fielding’s guidance. So you may wonder why I’m sharing a picture of a red book—this book represents my menopause journey. Now that I can finally breathe a little as my mom’s health stabilizes, I’m coming back to my red notebook to refocus on myself. My message to you: if you’ve never taken the time to truly invest in your health with Dr. Fielding, do it. Find your ā€œred notebook,ā€ whatever that looks like for you, and get yourself back on track. I’m proud of the work I’ve done, and I’m ready to keep moving forward to get back to 100%. I share this link (https://gofund.me/0e5491da2) not to ask for money, but to give a fuller picture of what this journey has looked like and to ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers. If you’ve ever cared for a parent or loved one, I’d truly appreciate any advice you’re willing to share.

✨ Holistic Hormone Happy 😊 Hour
✨ Holistic Hormone Happy 😊 Hour – This Thursday (Tomorrow, April 2) How has your anxiety been lately… really? Not just occasional stress —but that constant underlying tension…racing thoughts at night…feeling like your body just won’t calm down. I just released a new video where I break down something that surprised even me when I looked at the research: šŸ‘‰ You cannot be grateful and anxious at the same time. Not just emotionally — biologically. Gratitude actually: āœ” Lowers cortisol āœ” Activates your calming nervous system āœ” Supports hormone balance, sleep, and brain function I’ve seen this shift happen quickly — even within a few days — when applied the right way. šŸ’› So this Thursday, April 2, we’re going deeper together: 🌿 Holistic Hormone Happy 😊 Hour This will be a relaxed, supportive group session. ✨ Come as you are. No pressure. Even just listening in can create a shift. šŸ“… Check the calendar for the link and time (10:00 AM EDT, 4:00 PM CEST) If you’ve been feeling off, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself lately…this is a beautiful place to start šŸ’›

I wish I could join today. I’ve got a work meeting. This sounds like a great session.
Does Humming Really Work? (And What Actually Moves the Needle)
You’ve probably seen the ā€œbee hummingā€ technique everywhere lately. People are claiming it can boost nitric oxide, lower blood pressure, calm the nervous system, and even improve brain function. But here’s the truth… Some of those claims are real — and some are misunderstood. If you're talking about calming techniques - YES - Humming works great as a vagus nerve stimulator. But, if you're talking about whole body nitric oxide - maybe not so much. I just recorded a new video breaking this down clearly: āœ” what humming actually does in the body āœ” how it affects nitric oxide (and where) āœ” how it supports the vagus nerve and stress response āœ” AND a simple 3-minute routine that improves circulation throughout the entire body This is especially important if you’ve been: • sitting more• feeling sluggish• dealing with stress or poor sleep• noticing changes in energy or brain fog šŸ‘‰ Watch the full video here: [LINK] Have you tried humming or breathing techniques before? What did you notice?

Love this. I will have to try it.
Almost all of us have some kind of food or diet issue - what's yours?
Whether it's weight challenges, eating too many carbsšŸ©, not eating enough fiber - most of us have challenges where food is concerned. We may have grown up in a household that ate alot of fried foods and that reminds us of home. Or maybe burgers and fries have been your go to fast food meal when you don't have time to cook. Or making a bowl of popcorn šŸæ after a long day. I've seen it all! It's difficult to admit, but I will tell you my own story: when I was under severe stress in graduate school and isolated from family and friends - I found myself bingeing everyday on ice cream. Ice cream was my comfort food. Unfortunately, or fortunately, it eventually made me so sick I couldn't eat anything. I had horrible gastrointestinal problems followed by a raging fever of over 104 degrees for days. I could barely move to take care of basic needs. I was pretty 🤮 sick! Somehow, I made it through and once I recovered I had no desire to eat ice cream anymore LOL! Years later, I read a story about a small NC town (I think was Ashevile) during the polio epidemic that had an ice cream shop that closed down during the epidemic. The town reduced it's polio cases but noone knows for sure if reducing sugar intake was involved. Dr. Benjamin Sandler, a town doctor, was firmly convinced and research does now support that overconsumption of sugar does lower immunity. Many times we know what we are doing - but still can't stop. My new series on the 10 hormones involved with weight loss and aging highlights some of the reasons willpower is not the solution for many of us and why it is worse for women. If you care to share - what is or was your dietary weakness? Sharing can be healing. Watch the new series on YouTube: @DrManonHolisticDoc

Mine use to be almond joy type desserts. Meaning anything with coconut, chocolate and nuts. I even made sugar sourdough discard cookies that were good. I’m doing better these days with controlling my eating of sweet because if I eat too much my face breaks out.
