Why you should create a Social Media following
An interesting story with an unexpected outcome.
We are a husband and wife team with a reasonable size audience on YouTube and a growing one on TikTok. My wife decided that as she has been away from the classroom for a couple of years it would be a good idea to have a refresh and do a couple of weeks classroom teaching this summer.
She applied to a local school and with her CV, she included links to YouTube and a Tiktok video that went sort of viral this week. The result, not only did she get a job, but they've uplifted her pay by over 50% due to, as they call it, her celebrity status! In return they just wanted to use her in their marketing, which is of course a win for us.
