🪽 Function Request for Wingman
@Rositsa Aleksandrova has my gears spinning with her post on Skoolers this morning … and since Wingman brings in functionality that is missing from Skool … I’m wondering if the function for RSVP to calendar invites could be added in…? And also, a diary function where you pull up your calendar for each day and your to do tasks from the project tab is linked to your calendar, where you can see your tasks and the notes already in the system…

🌈 Declaring myself a blitz winner
I think it's ending tomorrow, so I'm calling it. I might not be the official winner, but my community went from 2930 to to 1265 in Discovery. (proof in the screenshots below) Nothing to write home about, I know. Most Goosify members have six stars and are in the top 5 of their category and the top 10 of everybody else's. You're beautiful, and I'm proud to fly with geese like you. But this is a big move by my standards. Especially since these aren't just numbers, but real communities run by real people. And I leaped over 1665 of them with a TON of help from people like @Benjamin Ross, @Anthony Walsh (who also helped me rediscover an old passion), @Kimberly Wright, @Jay Hanan, @Angela Chen Shui, @Ellie Hayes, @Jing Wang, @Justin Yip, @Tommy Gan, @Mark Eldridge, @Wendy Wiseman, @Addie Beall, @Christine Knight IFS, @Leeanne Hurren, @Justin Ferraraccio, @Dianna Carlton, @Artem Zakharov, @Tony Sibbald, @Taylor Richard, @Florian Rolke, @Mia Aurelia Greco, @Fiona Hernandez @Anita Kozlowski, @Chad Noorman, @Jeffrey Saathoff and 69 other amazing, encouraging Goosifiers. I feel like I won. And if you did the blitz, you won, too.
🌈 Declaring myself a blitz winner
I been lurking. Now I introduce myself. Hi!
Favorite color: Blue. Specifically, the azure-turquoise of the New Mexico sky. Favorite Pokemon: I'm about a generation-and-a-half too old for Pokemon. I only know two by name, Pikachu and Jigglypuff. So then Jigglypuff, I guess, because it's super-fun to say. "JIGGLYPUFF!" Pokemon stand-in: I think of Pokemon as a kids' TV show that was a commercial for products based on the show. My generation was the first that they did this to, the TV-show-length-commercial-disguised-as-entertainment. Of course I didn't think that's what it was. It was just cool new cartoons! GI Joe and He-Man and so many others. "Transformers" was the one that I loved the most, and my favorite Transformer was probably the Dinobot that was a tyrannosaurus. "Grimlock!" His name was Grimlock! So then is there a tyrannosaurus Pokemon? Maybe that one is my favorite. Current Skool challenge: getting people into my group. My special sauce shows up best when I get to work directly with people in real-time. So I'm looking for those people! I've been lurking here in Goosify for a while now. It's pretty cool to see how much fun everyone has here, and how much all y'all support each other. It's good to be here.
Question for fellow community hosts: how do you decide who to approve?
Because I talk openly about sex and relationships, I hold a pretty high bar for who I let into my community. Not in a gatekeeping way. In a care way. I’ve learned that when the topic is vulnerable, intimate, and personal, psychological safety matters more than volume. I want people to be able to ask real questions without getting shut down by bravado, posturing, or performative “edginess.” I’ve also noticed that insecurity often shows up as brash talk, especially around sex. So I’m curious how others handle this. If someone wants to join your community and it feels like a mismatch, do you: decline or delete without follow up check in and clearly name the behavioral expectations of the space redirect them to content so they can learn the tone first Or something else entirely? I’m especially interested in hearing how you balance inclusivity with maintaining a respectful, practice based space. Thank you in advance. I’m always learning how to lead these rooms well.
