FREE COPY - ULTIMATE GUIDE FOR PARENTS OF KEEPERS 🧤
Being the parent of a goalkeeper is one of the most stressful roles in youth football—especially if you have never played in goal yourself. Goalkeeping is a highly specialised position, and without first-hand experience, it is extremely difficult to know how to advise or support your child correctly. This puts many parents in an impossible position. You see your child standing alone in goal, sometimes facing unfair criticism from coaches or teammates, yet you are unsure how to help. Even worse, well-intended advice can unintentionally make things harder. This is not a failure on your part. Goalkeeping is different. To truly understand it, you need insight from someone who has lived it at a high level. That is exactly why I wrote The Ultimate Guide for Parents of Goalkeepers—to give parents clarity, confidence, and practical guidance so they can genuinely support their goalkeeper child. If you are serious about helping your child navigate the challenges of playing in goal, I strongly recommend reading this over the Christmas period. It is a short, simple read, and I guarantee you will feel far more confident in how to help your child afterwards. And it is completely free. MORE HELP FOR THE COMMUNITY 👊
Guys, Some of you may have seen my recent posts about how difficult it can be at times for me to respond to every DM personally. I genuinely pride myself on answering messages myself, but some weeks it has been impossible to answer everyone. I started this community to help goalkeepers and parents navigate the real challenges of the position — dealing with coaches, teammates, confidence, and the mental side of goalkeeping, which I’m especially passionate about. So moving forward can please send any questions about glove choice, your orders, or your sponsorship codes to the new @Community HelpDesk or email my team directly. (You will get their email if you place a order and or become a J4K sponsored goalkeeper). On these topics, my team will answer you back, MUCH faster than myself. If you’re going through a genuine challenge with your team, your coach, or struggling with confidence or mindset, please feel free to DM me personally. This is why I started this community — so goalkeepers and parents don’t have to face the same heartache my father and I experienced while chasing my professional dream. I’m confident this change will help us support the community even better. Ray

Story time from Sunday - I’ll never forget this game
Well what can I say. Last game of the year and as it states in the title… one I’ll never forget. Played against kellingly welfare who are an absolute wonderful team but the referee spoilt the game to the point both ourselves and the opposition have done whitness statements and complaint against him. From the get go he was whistle friendly, but when he stopped the game to speak to player he would point in there face and scream at them which was very passive aggressive.. 15 minutes into the game I made a save which resulted in a player standing on my hand completely accidental but the ref would not let me check over my hand and screamed in my face to kick the ball before there was severe consequences. Turns out for a good 20 seconds… on a plus note we won’t 8-0 🤣🤣 happy Tuesday everyone! a trip to hospital I have a hair line fracture and a tore ligament in my ring finger. Against the refs negligence for not letting me check. It went from bad to worse he grabbed a players arm and dragged her towards him to remove her watch genuine mistake she forgot to remove it but no need for physical contact. 20 minutes towards the end of the game I got launched into 2026, ran out for a challenge kicked the ball away and that’s all I remember, the player charged through me like a bull and I went flying banged my head and was knocked out for a good 20 seconds, carried off the pitch and that was me which sucked but my striker stepped up and went in between the sticks and praised my gloves! On a plus note we won 8-0 so silver lining and all that jazz but the ref put us all on edge darent question him. Worst part was my RW had a head injury so I went up to see if she was okay and with the wind as bad as it was I could barely hear anything and it sounded like he asked what I was eating so I responded with chewing gum. He then got in my face and said I won’t ask you again what are you doing here, I looked at him and said I’m checking on my team mate like everyone else is, he pointed at me and shouted get back in your net your a keeper. This caused a lot of arguments between supporters and the ref from both sides how he is being so disrespectful we’re fully grown women. But yeah sorry for my story time 🤣🤣
