The roll - out.
We practise this regularly & if you have one of those small pop-up goals, it gives the GK something to aim at. If you have more (part of my home is a GK storeroom & I have 3 😔) then we post them at different positions & lengths.
Through mucho practise, they can now roll-out to their players feet, from 25+ metres away.
Deadly accurate, it makes them.
A good thing here, it that its silent & if you're playing a team who (when walking away from a saved shot) & not turning & facing the ball (how often do you hear grassroots coaches shout this?!)
And If you're ever playing on astro, the effect is even greater.
The first the opposition know about anything, is when the winger/midfield are running past them, with the ball.
Drop kicks are great, but the roll-out is definitely under-rated.
