Weekend of contrasts at home
My son played his cup match on Saturday, continuing his “comeback from the depths”. They started really well, creating good chances, but after a moment of lack of focus they conceded: poor clearance and a low cross-shot from inside the box, nothing Lizer could do. Shortly after, another setback. A high dropping ball (“with snow”), he trusted the bounce and it went over him. He reacted quickly and almost cleared it off the line, but between a teammate and an opponent it ended up in the net. From the sidelines it looked like things were going downhill… But great reaction from the team: they equalised before half-time and scored two more in the second half. A well-deserved comeback win. As for me, I played on Sunday… tough one. A 3-0 loss against a weaker team who punished every mistake we made, while we couldn’t take any of our chances. That’s football… onto the next one!

@José Carlos Cimorra También ha sido un placer hablar contigo. Este sitio parece lleno de niños que no dan muy buena impresión. ¡Mis mejores deseos para ti y tu hijo en la soleada España!

@José Carlos Cimorra Thanks.
"If you need...."
Something I shout alot to my team mates when they have possession close to the box is "if you need" or "keeper if you need" Is this a good idea? Or just annoyance to just keep relying on the keeper for safety? Personally I believe it's good to give them more reassurance if they are marked or taking an overload to provide a safety net, no matter what's happening. But I feel as though I can sometimes annoy them because it's not always a high risk situation. What do you usually say instead/otherwise?

Sausages - top GK food.
Just wondered - why does everyone seem to be obsessed with 'liking' something on here..? You could probably post something like; 'Sausages - food of the GK professionals' & get 20 'likes' for it. Just a thought...😐

@Hollie Duckett It would seem to me to be a constant race to achieve 'points'.

Advice on drying gloves
Hi all we have had the last few weeks, where its been raining quite often and finding it hard to dry the gloves between training sessions and matches. Would appreciate any advice that would help dry them quickly.

Have several pairs. Wet ones on a coat hanger (one of each end) & leave to dry in warm(ish) place Wash off mud before hand. Respray with a glue product when dry. Has worked for the 50 or so pairs we've had.
SUCCESS Sunday - What Was Your Win This Week?
Each week, I invite you to share your biggest win. This isn't about the scoreline, but rather what aspects of your goalkeeping you improved or what new product you got to enhance your game. Additionally, can you name three things you are grateful for? These don't have to be goalkeeper-related. The reason I do this is simple: everyone has tough weeks. Reflecting on and writing down your recent wins and what you're grateful for is a PROVEN way to realise that life is pretty great and you're a very lucky person. To get you started, here’s my win and what I'm thankful for this week: MY WIN: Getting over 7300 members and growing in this community, WHAT I AM GRATEFUL FOR: 1. Finally getting the free course live for you guys. 2. The amazing weather we have been having. 3. Adding another 9 goalkeepers to the J4K goalkeeper glove sponsorship program. Share your win below and what you’re grateful for. Let's keep INSPIRING each other - Comment below, whats your wins.👇👇👇 And Remember, you are ALOT better off than what you may think ❤️
