Sehri:
Shami kababs + yogurt.
Simple. Satisfying. Good protein. ✔
Yesterday I hosted a dawat, so energy was already low going into today.
By 1pm…
Headache came in with full force.
Stayed. Didn’t leave.
Fasting + exhaustion + dehydration = reality check.
At iftar: Chicken and rice.
Took a painkiller.
It did its job… but only 50%.
Still carrying some of that heaviness.
But here’s the thing.
Ramadan isn’t always aesthetic. It’s not always glowing skin and perfect routines.
Some days it’s: Hosting. Prepping. Working. Smiling. Serving. While your head is pounding.
Tomorrow is another long one: Relatives coming from abroad. Umrah vibes. Work day. Sehri prep. Iftar prep.
And yes — currently feeling stressed about the situation globally. Constantly praying for peace for the Muslim Ummah.
But even in stress… there is perspective.
Alhamdulillah for:
• Food on the table
• Family gathering
• Ability to fast
• Ability to host
• Ability to pray
Today wasn’t high-energy. It wasn’t peak performance.
But I showed up.
And sometimes that’s the win.
Day 13 reminder: You don’t need to feel strong to be strong.
If your day was heavy — comment 🤍
If you’re pushing through quietly — comment 🌙
If you need extra duas tonight — comment 🤲
We continue.
