How To Share A MP4 Video In Our Skool Group
One of our members posted a delightful MP4 video of her first tomato today. However, when you clicked on the link you had to download it to be able to play it. I did a little digging to find some steps on how we can share this type of video with each other in the future.
While Skool doesn't directly support MP4 uploads, you can embed videos from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, and Wistia. To play an MP4 on Skool, you'll need to first upload it to one of these supported services, then embed the video link within your Skool course.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Upload to a Supported Platform:
  • Choose a platform like YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, or Wistia.
  • Upload your MP4 video to your chosen platform.
  • Ensure the video is publicly accessible or shared with the appropriate permissions.
2. Get the Embed Link:
  • After uploading, locate the embed code or share link for your video on the chosen platform.
  • For example, on YouTube, you can find the embed code under the "Share" button, and for Vimeo, it's under the "Share" icon.
3. Embed the Video in Skool:
  • Navigate to your Skool course and the specific page where you want the video.
  • Click "Edit" to enter edit mode.
  • Click the "Add video" button.
  • Paste the embed link you copied earlier.
  • Save your changes.
Now your MP4 video, hosted on a supported platform, should be playable within your Skool course.
Just in case any of you have a fun MP4 video of your garden that you want to share with everyone. Her's was delightful, but required I download it to view it. Understand that not everyone would be comfortable doing this, so here's a way to share with everyone.😁
