New to dispatching? Start here.
If you're just starting a dispatch trucking business, the first thing you need to understand is structure and paperwork. Before anything else:
Set up your business properly – LLC, EIN, and business bank account.
Know your key documents – Carrier Packet, W9, COI (Certificate of Insurance).
Understand load boards – how to read rates, lanes, and negotiate.
Learn compliance basics – MC Authority, DOT rules, hours of service, etc.
Build relationships – brokers won't trust you overnight; consistency is key.
And remember, dispatching is not just “finding loads.”
It’s organization, negotiation, paperwork, and communication.
If you’re new and confused about where to start, I can help you set up the essentials and guide you through the process.
