Doing difficult or uncomfortable tasks daily even when we don't feel like it. I think the lack of consistency is one of the top killers of momentum. I wrestle with this as well. Getting off track and then letting the shame of getting off track send you down a dark hole of depression. I've gotten pretty good at overcoming this cycle though. Lessening the time spent on the sidelines not taking action towards my goals. Some things that help me get consistent again. 1. Don't overlook the power of shame. We think business is all tactics and strategy. We forget that emotions play an astronomical role in our success. "If all we needed was knowledge everyone would have a six pack and be rich." Becoming emotionally resilient is massive. Specifically being shame resilient will help your business and your life be more prosperous and enjoyable. Shame is when you think you just suck and theres something deeply wrong with you. Often stemming from comparing to other people on social media. We all have our process and our own journey. I know I feel like I'm behind often. But then I remember there are also so many people that would love to have the level of freedom I currently have. 2. Detaching from the outcome. This one is tough especially if you really need the money right now. It helps to remind yourself you are planting seeds and that's all you can truly control. You can't control when the seed will sprout. Sure you have a general idea but there's always a lag time between you sowing your seed and reaping a harvest. This has helped me stay on track and simply manage what I do daily. "Atomic Habits" is a great book on this. Focusing on the daily activities and realizing that you are tapping into the beautiful power of compounding interest. Hope this helps someone!
