AI vs Virtual Assistant : Should I be Worried? 😟
Lately, I’ve been thinking about something that honestly makes me a little worried. 😞 Today, I watched a YouTube video about AI and the future of Virtual Assistant jobs. It mentioned that AI could potentially replace many VA tasks—and maybe even VA jobs in the future. As someone looking to build my career as a VA, I can’t help but wonder: Will AI replace Virtual Assistants, or will it simply help us work smarter and faster? 🤖 I’d love to hear from experienced VAs—what do you think?
Happy Friday! 🎉
It's been a big week in here and I want to hear from YOU. What made you feel proud of yourself this week? Big, small, "I showed up even though I didn't feel like it," all of it counts. Drop it below. One win, one sentence, that's the whole assignment. 😁
What are some suggested apps and tools for a new VA?
I'm still in the beginning stages of the Blueprint as I haven't had time this week to really dive in. Life has been lifing 😮‍💨. Two kiddos going to college has been fun 😬. Anyhow, what are some free apps or tools that can be used across the board regardless of services you are offering that you recommend? And what do you use it for? I feel like I've seen some tools mentioned on here that I've never heard of or seen and wouldn't know how to use them. I guess I need the dumb down version 😂. Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions.
Hey Folks, I'm New Here
My name is Brandon, I'm 47, and I'm starting my journey to become a freelance VA. I was laid off from my corporate tech job at the end of January after giving them 9 (almost 10) years. After my severance pay ended, I decided to pivot from trying to start a relationship coaching business, to starting a VA business where my impostor syndrome would be less loud about, lol. Although, it's still kinda there as I don't have any credentialed "expertise"; just 30 years of work experience over broad swath of customer service, communications and logistics coordination jobs. I'm excited for this opportunity and nervous. I've followed Erin for a little bit and she just felt the most genuine and down to earth of all the VA course teachers, so I'm here to head all her wisdom and hear any feedback ya'll can offer! I'm happy to contribute and help in any way I can! Peace! 😊
Client Outreach
What are some strategies that I can use from pitching to potential clients? I already have experience working as a VA but these clients don’t know that. Even if I have a resume and I have skills that show for it. These clients will be apprehensive and hiring me. What are some things that I can do to convince them to hire me? I was thinking something like doing cold outreach to them and seeing what types of business that they do. For example, if my client is a solo entrepreneur. I can show him that I can be someone that can manage his calendars his inbox as well as managing his travel travels. But how can I structure this? Do I create something like a PDF that shows the timeline? And how I can help them. Would really appreciate some help on this one.
