Evaluating a reel...
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DT9AZzoDK2d/?igsh=MWptandxeHpkOTVxdg== Ok, so I'm not criticizing or critiquing this reel, but I'm asking the question of comparison and clarity for others. I understand the differences, but others may not. This is considered a "fit technique", but it requires getting close to strike with the shoulder and "press" your man off of you. It is an older way of doing things and being taught. One of the biggest concerns I hear from older coaches is the fear of the player breaking their arm by striking the sternum and arm/shoulder. Can anyone talk through the varied teaching concepts and ideas here for us? Thanks in advance!
DL Stunts
Looking to spice up our DL Stunt game this spring. Our unit is mostly Long and Explosive linemen so looking at ways to maximize that speed in creative ways. Specifically looking at 2 gap stunts out of a 40 Over look. Anyone willing to share?
How to sense pressure from hips in a double team and also when the o lineman anchors down in a bull rush
i remember never being able to feel pressure coming at me in double teams and also being bad at shedding when the o lineman anchors down, any way to fix that??
Shedding
Looking for 2-3 shedding drills for tackles.
This Is The System. Not A Highlight Book.
I just released my Defensive Line Coaching Book in the Classroom Section. Let me be clear. This isn’t a highlight book. This isn’t random drills. This is exactly how I coach. From alignment and stance To game planning Film breakdown Pass rush plans Stunts Practice structure Start to finish. I made this so: Players understand what I expect and why Coaches have a clear system, not just drills Parents can finally see what real development looks like Same language. Same standards. Same progressions. Every day. If you’ve ever asked: What should I focus on first? How do I connect all the pieces? This book answers that. 👉 It’s live in the Classroom section Take your time with it. This is meant to be used, not skimmed. Drop a comment once you start reading. Which chapter hit you the hardest? Let’s keep raising the standard.
