Athlete Growth
One of my MMA athletes I'm currently preparing for the Australian Titles in 7 weeks.
Tevita is only 16 years old, but over the last 12 weeks he's made some serious progress.
✅ +57 kg Mid Thigh Pull
✅ +20 kg Back Squat
✅ +20 kg Bench Press
✅ Faster agility
✅ More explosive power
✅ Stronger grip
The best part? These improvements transferred straight into competition. After just 3 months of MMA training alongside structured Strength & Conditioning, he won his JMMAC #20 (Junior MMA Competition) division convincingly.
This is exactly why I'm big on testing. It gives us a starting point, shows us where the weaknesses are, and lets us measure whether the program is actually working.
Over the next 7 weeks, the focus shifts from building physical qualities to sharpening them for competition. The goal isn't just to be stronger, it's to arrive on the mats fast, explosive, durable and confident when it matters most.
I can't wait to see how he performs at the Australian Titles. The work is getting done. Now we keep stacking good weeks.
