Greetings to everyone in the tribe.

Hi. I’m John. It’s great to meet all of you. I am 63 years old and also a missionary kid that grew up in Mexico and oddly enough speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. I am interested in sharing my experiences of living with a multilingual brain (things get really confusing) and my experiences as a third culture citizen of this world. It is the experience of not being from either here or there. I am a US citizen but I don’t feel like I am from here, nor am I from Mexico. I have also lived in Taiwan and I really appreciated that location, but I am not from there either.

I spent a lot of time teaching English as a second language to adult learners in classrooms in California- 100’s of classes and 100’s of students. Now, I am retired and teaching English to students around the world online. I would like to be able to share some stories of my life and my reactions to this world on YouTube. I am still confused about what my niche should be.

Anyways, I look forward to meeting everyone here. 😊
