editing tools

What tools do you use to edit your videos? Do you use an additional microphone? I have not invested any money to purchase filming/editing tools yet……I am new & frugal. :) However, I am open to learning….. please share your recommendations! I use Quick time player on my mac to record, then edit using iMovie.

@Diane Eddy Yeah that's OK but they have a lot of upsells on it and sometimes you go to download your video that you produced and it doesn't let you it sends you through a bunch of hoops to buy there's some by that it works but the best one if you're gonna do it yourself is a link I sent you that one works great all you have to do is talk to it and then you can interact somewhat with it also but da Vinci resolve is a free download in a free it does it does a tremendous amount of work for you before you have to step up to the paid version but it's got a huge learning curve it's hard to use unless you work with it for quite a while that's the only thing I'm saying you know🏄
