My Low Key Pre-Sell Strategy that Made šŸ’µ
I feel like we’re all going through this season of ā€œless is moreā€
For context, I decided to take a step away from my content business back towards the end of July - and let my automations completely take care of the day to day content creation and automation.
In the month of August I had scheduled participation/contribution in bundles but besides scheduling emails in advance - lead generation was taken care of for me.
I knew that I would see a large sum of traffic come to my product page so I toyed around the idea of ā€œpre sellingā€ a mini-ish course that I would like to make in the future.
Viewers would land on the free product contribution page and I would have an ā€œorder bumpā€ for the presell.
I literally ā€œset it and forget itā€
The goal of this presell was to validate if people actually wanted the course I was promoting.
After learning from Mariah’s program ā€œthe acceleratorā€ I’ve realized I won’t create any course without proof of purchases.
Well later down the line I noticed sale notifications for the order bump on the presale course.
I thought ā€œoh shit I guess one person wants itā€ and then I set a minimum threshold of sales goal. If I didn’t meet the threshold I would refund the customers payment or give them an equal equivalent.
And then another sale, and more came afterwards.
At this point I realized I’m super close.
So I decided to ā€œannounceā€ the presell to my audience with a 3 part email sequence.
My emails were to the point, blunt, and completely transparent.
And then I just noticed today that I finally met my threshold! I’m now officially making the course!
And we haven’t even met our sales deadline yet!
So in summary, here’s what I did:
  • created an ā€œorder bumpā€ presell to a course I wanted to validate
  • Participated in 1-2 bundles to drive traffic to the free product (grow my list) and presell order bump
  • Scheduled 3 emails - after the first 1-3 validation sales came through.
That is it!
What I’ve learned
  • always test and validate with traffic
  • Launches don’t have to be stressful they get to be easy - and you can make money
  • Money doesn’t necessarily correlate to ā€œinput workā€, you get to make money without working hard
I hope this experiment helps you!
