"Kit (ConvertKit) Email Setup Specialist for Children's Book Newsletter – Technical Implementation
Looking for a reliable, proactive Kit Specialist who can make the technical side seamless so I can focus on writing! I am an independent children’s book author with an existing book website .
I need a Kit (ConvertKit) expert to set up and optimize a focused newsletter to drive traffic to the site, grow the waitlist, and support pre-orders for my upcoming release.
I will provide all email copy, subject lines, and content myself.
Your role is purely technical implementation, design integration, and optimization.
Scope of Work: Set up and fully optimize my Kit account (forms, landing pages, automations, tags/segments, integrations).
Connect Kit seamlessly to my existing website for opt-in forms and waitlist.
Build a simple welcome sequence (3–5 emails) and 1–2 automation flows using the copy I provide. Create clean, mobile-friendly email templates that incorporate my whimsical book illustrations and brand (warm, adventurous, family-friendly).
Set up basic analytics/tracking (opens, clicks, UTM links to the website). Provide guidance on best practices for deliverability and list growth. 1–2 rounds of revisions after I review.
Ongoing (Optional Phase) Light monthly support for importing new broadcasts I write, minor tweaks, and performance reports (2–5 hours/month).
Required Skills: Strong expertise with Kit/ConvertKit (setup, automations, templates, integrations) — must share previous examples. Experience designing email templates in Kit (or similar) with images and strong CTAs.
Knowledge of website integrations (forms/pop-ups) and email best practices (deliverability, CAN-SPAM). Attention to detail and ability to work with provided assets/copy. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with author/children’s book or creator newsletters. Basic Canva or image optimization skills for email visuals.
How to Apply: Provide examples of Kit setups or automations you’ve built (screenshots or links). Proposed approach for a simple welcome sequence + website integration.
Your availability and exact quote for the initial setup."
