First client
I officially quit my job last week and got a first gig as of today: long term agreement on freelance base for Creative Strategy. 24 -32h a week for 6k (euros) + performance bonuses. I put in the work to learn CS these last few months and started to outreach in the beginning of June. Very excited!!

I like the comparison between learning boxing on YouTube and in the gym, and then comparing it to learning copywriting. I suggest that, since there are many testimonials about the Copywriting Launchpad, it would be better to tell a story as well to sell the offer 😊.
Roast my Practice Copy
I've been busy doing day 5 of my hand written ads and somehow felt the spirit itching to write down copy for practice. The first one is selling my favorite children's book to the group. Another one is if I'm selling a weight loss product I made myself 😆 I had fun making these like the ideas just kept coming and the Gods of copywriting are just beside me. 😁 Feel free to send your comments, feedback here or even on the doc (comment enabled). Come and Roast Me the Matthew Volkwyn Style Still studying, still writing, still going. Next action plan probably are - recreating a successful copy, more copy translation, and looking for clients with worse copy than I could create.

Happy Clients
Hey all! Quick win from me to share! Popped onto LinkedIn today and it felt really good getting a tag and a lovely comment from a client I’ve written a case study for and interviewed! (This was not a freelance / business client but a customer of the startup I’m the marketing exec for) Exciting to work with these awesome businesses! link: https://labdesk.co.uk/blog/how-jcs-nuclear-solutions-halved-time-lost-to-it-issues-with-labdesks-microsoft-365-accelerator A NUGGET of wisdom I will share if anyone fancies writing case studies is to make the customer (Oliver in this case) be perceived as intelligent, smart, and trustworthy. Make the person you are writing about look good- not just your company for helping them.
Happy Clients
Congrats, Ben!
