How I Got My First Client
This is my story, and I hope it will inspire someone and maybe help them.
Note:
My story may not fit your situation. Take only what you think will work for you.
This happened four years ago. I had taken a couple of courses on media buying, marketing, and how to write ads, but I had zero experience. I had never actually applied my knowledge.
I picked a simple niche, learned more about it, understood its requirements, and researched its target audience. The niche I chose was nurseries and kindergartens.
I offered my services for free in exchange for their feedback. After each campaign, I also asked for a recommendation.
I did this with two clients. After that, I charged my third client because I was able to show them the results I had achieved with my previous clients.
My advice is simple:
  1. Focus on one niche.
  2. Learn as much as you can about it.
  3. Understand its target audience.
  4. Offer your first couple of projects for free to build experience and collect testimonials.
That's it. I wish you all the best, and good luck!
