Deleted Posts Still Show Up in Notifications

It's a really bad user experience to have posts that have been deleted show up in the Notifications. Then, when you click on them, they take you to a 404 error page. Like what happened here (see the attached screenshot).

posted that message twice, but he deleted the first one. But the Notification persists, and when you click on the deleted one, it takes you to a 404 error page, leaving you confused.

It also stays there regardless of refreshing the page. The deleted post always shows in the Notifications.
