Why Social Media Engagement Bait Doesn't Work on a Public Skool Post
I'm starting to see more and more of these posts pop up within the Classifieds community feed.
Social media style engagement bait like:
  • "comment X and I'll send you Y"
  • "drop <keyword> below
  • "DM for more information"
  • "vote with your favorite GIF"
  • "tag 3 friends who... "
These patterns and post types were made for social feeds where comments and low effort actions help boost your post with the algorithm.
No shade if you’ve done this (I have too). It made sense on social feeds—it just behaves differently in a public Skool feed.
On Friday's workshop, I'm breaking down what this kind of post actually does to your visibility, searchability and all the ways you get found from your public posts. I will be sharing what to do instead that get:
  • organic traffic to your About Page
  • builds your authority on the problem you solve
  • keeps getting found months after your post was made
For now, want a reality check on one of your own posts? I need a link to your post and I'll give you 3 tweaks you can make today that make it more findable.
ICYMI - Friday, January 30 - 2 pm EST, I'll be providing a FREE ONLINE workshop on How To Make Your Classifieds Posts Work Harder For You.
I’ve also put together a small VIP Toolkit you can use before and after the workshop—there’s a short orientation video with 3 tweaks to try today, a keyword discovery prompt, and 2 of the posting frameworks we’ll walk through on Friday. Additional tools will be added after the workshop that will help you implement everything from the workshop without having to become an SEO/GEO expert.
