Lighten UP: Joy is Part of the Plan!
Excited to announce our next Conversation to THRIVE… Thursday, August 13, 9 am MT/11am EST Join Nurse Coach Angela Johnson and Laughter Yoga Teacher Sarah Lawson for this uplifting conversation in the free Thrive Community, about how laughter can soothe your nervous system, heal your heart/body, and frankly, help you THRIVE more, in every area of your life. Sarah’s Bio- Sarah Lawson is a Laughter Yoga Teacher, wellness facilitator, and healing arts practitioner with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and groups. Through laughter, nervous-system support, and embodied practices, she helps people release stress, build resilience, and feel more alive. Her work is rooted in the belief that deep healing doesn’t always have to be heavy and that joy is an essential part of wellness. Angela's Bio- Angela Johnson is a Registered Nurse and Board Certified Nurse Coach with 12 years of clinical expertise in mental health, neuroscience, and addiction recovery care. As the founder of Kudzu Collaborations, she supports small businesses and their teams to create space for the conversations that keep people engaged, communicating, and thriving at work, instead of remaining burnt out and ready to bail.

@Jenny Rader-Bakos I agree! Maybe we can check in about it in a few weeks, when we all have some time and bandwidth to think about it. I know you have lots to take care of right now. We have school starting soon…once we are in a rhythm with that, I can start thinking about making some more things happen

Most cooking programs teach you what to cook
I want to teach you how to cook. Recipes come and go. Food trends come and go. But if you understand the foundations—knife skills, sautéing, seasoning, roasting, and building flavour—you’ll have the confidence to cook almost anything for the rest of your life. That’s why I created The Cooking Skool. Not to give you hundreds of recipes. To help you become the kind of person who can walk into the kitchen, open the fridge, and know what to make. Because confidence isn’t found in a recipe. It’s built one skill at a time. 👩‍🍳 Learn the foundation. 👉 The Cooking Skool

@Krista Melanson that’s so awesome!!👏. I’ve only developed more confidence in the kitchen in just the past 2-3 years, and it makes such a big difference!

Make time for your members if you want them to value your group!
People will more likely join your group and pay you if they feel like you're giving your time to them. Because in a world full of information, just dropping information and than leaving is not a lot of value. But taking the time to understand your members and giving them tailored solutions for their problems is! And how do you do that? Here are some tips: - Be personal in the welcoming DMs. Don't just paste a script. Show them that you checked them out and that you're really trying to help them. Start a legit, non pitchy, conversation that makes them feel welcomed in your group. - Answer their posts and comments with more than just a "thank you for your input" - Host live calls where you do more than just talking. Engage with people, do activities, ask quesitons. Share the spotlight! - Tag them at relevant contexts to call them into conversations that are interesting to them. Introduce them to people who they might be willling to know. Don't just mass tag to beg for attention, call them to an interesting discussion while introducing them to others - Give shoutouts to your most active members, share their wins, make them accoutable on their goals (if they are okay with that). I'll do all of that on my group. I'll welcome you while getting to know what you do, try to fit you in, tag relevant people in your posts and even pin the ones that don't get enough attention and celebrate those who are the best contributors. And if you're among the paid members, I'll be sure to understand what you do very well in order to better promote your work and give you private feedback on your offers.
