When life slowly becomes smaller...
It rarely happens overnight.
For Jan, it started with travel anxiety and health worries.
Then flying became difficult.
Then certain roads.
Then smaller journeys.
Eventually even everyday things like shopping trips, walks and coffee mornings felt out of reach.
Her retirement was supposed to be about freedom.
Instead her world was shrinking.
One of my favourite parts of helping people change is not just seeing the problem reduce...
It's seeing what comes back.
For Jan it was:
A shopping trip.
A coffee morning.
Saying yes again.
A trip to Spain.
And perhaps the biggest one...
Enjoying becoming a grandma.
Sometimes change isn't really about removing anxiety.
It's about getting life back.
