🐸We're all the frog. So are our learners.

The boiling frog metaphor is everywhere we look.

If you drop a frog in water - it jumps straight out. Put it in cool water and slowly raise the heat and it never notices. It just keeps adjusting.

Firstly, it's a metaphor for overwhelm. It's also a metaphor for almost everything we miss in the learners we love. You might have noticed some of these:

A child loses confidence at 1 degree per term.
A reader goes quiet at 2 degrees per week.
A client loses momentum at 3 degrees per session.
A community drifts at 4 degrees per month.

Usually, no-one is paying attention as the water just keeps on warming.
