Someone asked me yesterday if the era of selling to other digital marketers is simply dead.
And whether they should change their strategy.
I want to Share what I’m seeing… and what I personally decided to do about it.
For a while, a lot of people were able to build businesses around buying a course… and then reselling that same course.
And for a period of time, it worked.
The hype around digital products in 2025 was huge.
But when thousands of people are selling the same thing, eventually the market gets saturated.
That was always going to happen.
The number of courses launched over the past couple of years has been enormous.
Many people jumped into reselling without really understanding the systems behind the products.
And unfortunately, some people ended up spending more money than they made.
That’s always concerning to see.
But here’s the interesting part.
Courses themselves are not the problem.
Education will always have value.
The real issue is that the market has now seen the same broad advice repeated thousands of times.
Things like:
“Make money online.”
“Start a digital business.”
“Sell digital products.”
When buyers see the same information over and over again, something natural happens.
Demand starts dropping.
Not because people don’t want solutions anymore.
But because they’ve already heard the general advice.
What still works extremely well are very specific solutions to very specific problems.
Clear problem.
Clear result.
That’s why many creators are starting to diversify their income streams right now.
Some are moving into things like:
• services
• UGC
• consulting
• trading
• affiliate partnerships
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭.
Instead of selling more information, creators are starting to build tools.
Tools that help people actually do the thing faster.
And that’s exactly why I personally started building Custom GPTs and simple apps for this community.
Not because courses don’t work.
But because tools can remove friction.
For example, instead of teaching someone for two hours about how to write better content…
You can give them a tool that helps them:
• generate better hooks
• improve their video scripts
• identify buyer objections
• create content faster
• find better messaging angles
In other words, the tool helps them implement the strategy immediately.
That’s why you’re starting to see things inside this community like:
• Buyer Psychology GPT
• False Belief Flipper GPT
• content strategy assistants
• prompt generators
• simple apps that solve specific problems
These are designed to do one thing really well.
Solve a problem quickly.
And what’s exciting right now is that building tools like this no longer requires being a developer.
With AI and no-code platforms, creators can now build apps, tools, and systems simply by describing what they want the tool to do.
We’re moving into a time where creators can build micro software for their audience.
And that opens up a lot of interesting opportunities.
𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠:
“𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥?”
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞:
“𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥?”
𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
And I’m genuinely curious…
Are you seeing this shift happening as well?
Or are you still seeing courses dominate your corner of the internet?
