MONDAY MYTH: “You Make Decisions With Your Mind.”
Most people think they’re making decisions with their “mind.” That's adorable. But inaccurate.
Say what? Yep, you read that right. Let's try it again.
Most people think they’re making decisions with their “mind.” That's adorable. But inaccurate.
Your mind is basically the intern who shows up late, takes credit for everyone else’s work, and still somehow gets employee of the month.
Meanwhile, your blood sugar is in the corner making 90% of your life choices like:
“Buy the thing. Eat the thing. Say yes to the thing. Cry about the thing.”
Your minerals are running HR like:
“We’re firing everyone today. No, we don’t care if they’re innocent.”
Your CO2 tolerance is the risk manager:
“Nope. Too scary. Also too loud. Also too everything.”
Your inflammation is the pessimist intern:
“This will fail. That will fail. You will fail. Let’s just lie down.”
And your “mind”? Your mind is standing there like:
“I have decided.”
Sure you did, sweetheart.
Most people think they’re making decisions with their “mind.”
Your mind is the last one to know what you’re doing.
Your blood sugar decides how patient you are. Your minerals decide how kind you are.
Your CO2 tolerance decides how brave you are. Your inflammation decides how hopeful you are.
Your nervous system decides whether you can even hear your own values.
By the time your “mind” shows up, the body already voted.
If you’ve ever wondered why your behavior doesn’t match your intentions,
why your reactions don’t match your values, why your decisions don’t match your goals,
it’s not because you’re broken. It’s because your physiology voted first.
Most people are living inside a body they’ve never learned to read,
and then blaming their “personality” for the fallout.
Once you understand the physiology behind your patterns?
Your entire life starts making sense in a way that feels illegal.
This is the part no one teaches:
Your body has been speaking in full sentences your whole life.
You just didn’t know the language.
Yet.
If you’ve ever wondered why your behavior doesn’t match your intentions,
why your reactions don’t match your values, why your decisions don’t match your goals,
come join us.
SO, WHAT DOES “I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT” ACTUALLY MEAN?
Spoiler alert: it’s rarely about thinking.
