  • Work on your PR and media kit, what is your message, motivation, relevance?
Knowing this makes a huge difference. It undermines everything we do and how we show up in the world. Have you heard of Simon Sinek? Look him up for all that he's researched and shared about knowing our WHY. I've mentioned him here before but he's a big influence on my own path. It helps me to know what my core values are, what drives me, and that makes it easier to explain my work to others as well as for myself.
Sinek writes: "The neocortex corresponds to the 'what' level. This part of the brain is responsible for rational and analytical thought and language. The middle two sections comprise the limbic brain, and are responsible for all of our feelings, like trust and loyalty. It is also responsible for all human behavior and all decision-making, but it has no capacity for language. When we communicate from the outside in, when we start with 'what', yes, people can understand vast amounts of complicated information... but it doesn't drive behavior."
