Give More Than You Expect to Receive
Yesterday I told someone, “Have a great Valentine’s Day — do something special for someone.”
They replied…
“Eh… I think I’ll just have someone do something special for me.”
That response stuck with me.
What if instead of thinking, “I hope someone does something nice for me,” we thought:
👉 “How can I give today?”
If we all focused on giving — we’d all receive.
And giving doesn’t always mean money or hours of your time.
It can be:
  • Recommending a great book
  • Sharing a helpful podcast
  • Introducing someone to a strong Skool community
  • Sending a referral
  • Or simply being kind and encouraging
That’s how ecosystems grow.
So here’s one practical way to give:
If you know someone struggling with bookkeeping — confused about QuickBooks, stressed about taxes, unsure about their numbers — give them the gift of a recommendation.
Recommend DBR Bookkeeping.
And here’s something fun:
If they join the DBR Bookkeeping community, stay past the 7-day trial, and mention your name — I’ll give you both $50.
Yes… if you refer yourself, that’s $100 😄
