@Cristal Vancarson I was a little taken back at first. But I just keep moving forward. :)
Give More Than You Expect to Receive
Yesterday I told someone, “Have a great Valentine’s Day — do something special for someone.” They replied… “Eh… I think I’ll just have someone do something special for me.” That response stuck with me. What if instead of thinking, “I hope someone does something nice for me,” we thought: 👉 “How can I give today?” If we all focused on giving — we’d all receive. And giving doesn’t always mean money or hours of your time. It can be: - Recommending a great book - Sharing a helpful podcast - Introducing someone to a strong Skool community - Sending a referral - Or simply being kind and encouraging That’s how ecosystems grow. So here’s one practical way to give: If you know someone struggling with bookkeeping — confused about QuickBooks, stressed about taxes, unsure about their numbers — give them the gift of a recommendation. Recommend DBR Bookkeeping. And here’s something fun: If they join the DBR Bookkeeping community, stay past the 7-day trial, and mention your name — I’ll give you both $50. Yes… if you refer yourself, that’s $100 😄 (Valid this month only for Classifieds members.) Let’s start Doing Business Right. DBR

The Power of Reviews & Social Proof
I just received a really kind Google review from one of our DBR Skool Community members! And it reminded me of something important… In business, people don’t just buy services. They buy confidence. Reviews matter because they: - Build trust before you ever speak to someone - Show real results from real people - Reduce fear and hesitation - Validate that your systems actually work Social proof isn’t about ego. It’s about credibility. When someone takes the time to leave a thoughtful review, it tells others: “This is a safe place to learn.” “This person actually helps.” “This works.” That’s what we strive for inside the DBR Bookkeeping Community — not just transactions, but transformation. Let’s start Doing Business Right! DBR

@Lisa Vanderveen It is! We all work really hard, and it's always nice to see people appreciate our hard work.
Growth is motivating. Fear is activating.
Many business owners don’t act because they want more profit. They act to avoid a mistake. Avoid IRS notices. Avoid messy books. Avoid overpaying taxes. Avoid that sinking feeling of not knowing their numbers. Understanding someone’s pain and fear is just as valuable as understanding their goals. If you know someone who’s stressed about doing their bookkeeping wrong and worried about getting that letter from the IRS, send them to DBR Bookkeeping. Let’s start Doing Business Right. DBR QUESTION: What motivates you more — the opportunity to grow or the desire to avoid costly mistakes?
