A Morning That Couldn’t Decide What It Wanted to Be 🌧️🌊🍬
Yesterday morning was a total yo-yo.
It started slow and heavy with rain, one of those mornings where everything feels a bit muted. I headed out to run errands, but for some reason, I did them differently than I usually would. No rush. No autopilot.
The bank? Easy. Cash out, no drama. Then I popped into the little mart to grab my electric token… systems down. Mildly annoying, but not a disaster, there’s another mart on the way home.
So instead of stressing, I wandered.
Somehow that wandering turned into a walk through the mall… which also happens to be on the beach (yes, really). I ended up standing barefoot in the sand for a few minutes, just breathing. And then, surprise, I stumbled into this huge candy store tucked inside the mall. The kind that sells sweets from home I haven’t had in months. Instant nostalgia hit.
That was the high point.
After that? The universe decided to test my patience 😅
The driver to the second mart had an attitude, complaining that the location I asked to be dropped off at was inconvenient. (Sir… you are literally being paid to drive me, but okay.)At the mart, the guy didn’t understand what I was asking for, but eventually I managed to get a small electric token, enough to get me through the next couple of days. Win-ish.
Getting home was another saga. Every driver was suddenly 10+ minutes away and charging five times the usual cost. Nope. So I walked for a bit instead. I wasn’t 100% sure I was heading the right way, but somehow… I ended up exactly where I needed to be and got a quick, easy ride home.
By the time I walked through the door, I was done. Drained to the bone. A nap and Loki snuggles were absolutely non-negotiable, followed by the chillest afternoon imaginable.
But here’s the thing…
One really good thing came out of that messy, irritating, oddly magical morning. I found something I’d been looking for, without actively looking, for a long time. Something I’d quietly given up on finding.
Funny how that happens when you stop forcing the day and just let it unfold, yo-yos and all 🤍
Have you ever had a day that felt all over the place...but still gave you something unexpected in the end?
