OpenAI Playground - ChatGPT 4

I was on the waitlist and was granted access yesterday. When I am in OpenAI playground, I can choose GPT-4 as the model. When I am in chat mode, and ask the model which model is responding to me it always says GPT-3. And when I question this, explaining I am in OpenAI playground and have GPT-4 selected, at first it claims GPT-4 isn't even available. Pushing forward it eventually just tries and reassure me that whatever I have selected, GPT-4 in this case, is the model that's being used. The I immediately follow up that response with, what model am I communicating with, the response: GPT-3

I am unsure if I am using GPT-4 or not. Anyone had any experience with this, or have any suggestions?
